Who we are
Tidewatch is developed by Pixel Coast AB (org.nr 559610-9214), Gothenburg, Sweden. Pixel Coast AB is the data controller for any personal data processed in connection with the app. You can contact us at contact@pixelcoastlabs.com.
Data the app uses

The app does not collect advertising identifiers, does not use third-party analytics or advertising tools, and does not track you as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency.
Permissions
- Location. The app asks for your approximate location to show nearby information. You can allow or deny this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services. The app still works if you enter a place manually.
Third parties
- Apple. Apple distributes the app through the App Store. Apple may provide us with anonymous, aggregated statistics such as downloads and crash reports if you have chosen to share them with developers. See Apple's privacy policy.
- Weather and tide data provider [NAME]. The app requests forecasts for an approximate area. No personal data is included in these requests.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone for marketing.
Legal basis
Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, we generally do not process personal data about you. Where the app processes data on your device, it does so to provide the features you use.
How long we keep data
Data stored on your device stays there until you delete it or remove the app. Deleting the app removes its data from your device.
Your rights
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app.
To use your rights, email contact@pixelcoastlabs.com. If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can also contact the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, IMY).
Children
Tidewatch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, and rely on the security features built into iOS and iPadOS.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The latest version is always published on this page, with the effective date at the top. For significant changes, we will also inform you in the app.
